Nine Days in Eden Returns to Botswana

This summer, six copies of Nine Days in Eden: A Safari through the Okavango Delta travelled by DHL from New York to Kwando Safaris’ headquarters in Maun, Botswana. From there, they made their way to six of its lodge libraries, bringing the book back to the country that inspired it.

These photographs show the book at Tau Pan, Kwando’s most remote lodge, in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, home to the famous black-maned Kalahari lions. Reached by light aircraft on a fly-in safari, Tau Pan offers readers a place to enjoy the wildlife and stories of Botswana while surrounded by its vast plains.
